SoDA 2022 Brand Evolution

My role: I led the re-evaluation and redirection of the visual brand for SoDA. This included collaboration with the Executive Director on strategy, the Operations Director for event design and production, and the Communications Manager to create any digital touchpoints between SoDA and its members. The process started in 2021 and executed in stages throughout several months.

 

After progressively veering away from the styleguide elements created in 2014, the SoDA brand was due for a re-evaluation. This project encompasses everything created with SoDA’s new brand strategy: brand guidelines, brand extensions, digital communications to SoDA’s members and/or the public, published reports and publications, online and in-person events, and any visual materials that represent SoDA as an organization.

LEADERSHIP GUIDE

The leadership guide is designed to serve as a comprehensive directory of primary SoDA members and a valuable resource as part of their membership. Information is kept up-to-date each year before being printed out and distributed to members.

 

NEW MEMBER BOOKLET

A brochure that encapsulates the organization of SoDA is included in welcome kits sent to newly onboarded SoDA members.

 

NEWSLETTERS

SoDA’s regular newsletters and webinar series provide additional avenues for SoDA members to publish and share their perspectives.

 

YEAR IN REVIEW + POSTCARD

A collection of a small cross-section of the content produced in 2021 and released as a “Year in Review” publication. The articles pull from content that was published via SoDA Report On series, the SoDA Series Live, research reports, regular webinars and more.

I was tasked with designing the materials and overseeing production. These magazines/postcards were distributed to all primary members + sponsors of the organization at the end of the year.

SoDA Series LIVE

The SoDA Series Live brings you candid, in-depth discussions with agency leaders from around the world. We dig into trends and key topics that are shaping the digital creative, design and technology community. The SoDA Series Live is a collaboration between The Society of Digital Agencies and Adobe XD.

I work with SoDA’s communications manager and the strategy development team at Adobe to create all digital assets/branding involved in this monthly webinar series. Sample banners below.

The SoDA Report

The SoDA Report is an industry trend publication that brings together thought leadership and case studies from some of the world's leading digital agencies and technology innovators. The SoDA Report On is a series of white papers released in partnership with the industry's leading brands to conduct deep dives on a number of issues impacting the companies and people who are creating the future of marketing and digital experiences.

I serve as the production designer for both.

The SoDA Academy

The SoDA Academy is a two-day, invitation-only learning conference exclusively for practice leaders from the best digital agencies, production companies, design studios, integrated agencies and consultancies around the world. Based on a model of radical peer collaboration, transparency and shared learning, The SoDA Academy is designed to dig deeply into the issues, challenges and opportunities you face as a leader, manager and practitioner.

I lead in rebranding the entire system for the event - which includes all digital and printed materials such as program guides, signage, stage banners, badges, event sites and keynote presentations. Although the event was canceled until further notice (due to the nature of the pandemic), I have continued the project in preparation for when it launches.

 

Logo elements: The ‘S’ conveys the breaking down of walls, transparency among peers, and the open & accessible nature between each discipline. The ‘A’ symbolizes the building blocks of SoDA’s industry and catalyst for conversation and idea-sharing.

SoDA Sessions

Conducted in cities around the world, SoDA Sessions are live, in-depth panel discussions with brand marketers and agency leaders from the SoDA and local community.
